Partner of Aleinikov&Partners Dmitry Matveyev won Mentor Of The Year'2017 Award

The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) was started off on November 13, 2017. GEW is a worldwide event for innovators and employers that launch Start-up projects, embody the ideas, map out projects for economic growth and human welfare. Nowadays the Global Entrepreneurship Week is held in more than 160 countries worldwide. Belarus joined GEW in 2011 and became one of 137 countries participating in the largest entrepreneurial initiative around the world. GEW activities in Belarus are coordinated by BELBIZ company.

Among the events, traditionally held by BELBIZ within the framework of GEW, the most prestigious award of Belarusian business community since 2012 is а ‘’Mentor of the Year’’. This award is the confirmation and recognition of an important work done to create, train and support the start-up ecosystem in Belarus. During previous years the winners of this award were the leading entrepreneurs of Belarus: Yuri Zisser (Founder and co-owner of TUT.BY), Alexander Knyrovich (Chairman of the Board of the Business Angels Association and venture investors "BAVIN"), Yury Hurski (IT-entrepreneur), Vadim Nareiko and Alexander Chekan (Chairman of the Board of Directors of TUT.BY).

In 2017, 25 representatives of the business community were nominated for the award. According to the results of voting, the title of "Mentor of the Year’2017" obtained Dmitry Matveyev, partner of Aleinikov&Partners law firm. It was emphasized, that Dmitry has high confidence in the start-up community. The award was presented by Dmitry Matusevich, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy.
