Denis Aleinikov participated in the EEC seminar on blockchain and cryptocurrencies

The international seminar on blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and their channels on influence on the macroeconomic policy in EAEU was held in Moscow on 12 February. Among the participants of seminar there were Tatyana Valovaya, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of the main directions of integration and macroeconomics of the EEC, Karine Minasyan, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information & Communication Technologies of the EEC, Andrey Beliyaninov, Chairman of the Management Board at the EDB, Dmitry Marinichev, Internet ombudsman, Kairat Balykbayev, Vice Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alexis Rodzianko, President and CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and others.

Within the framework of the seminar experts discussed the essence, advantages, and disadvantages of blockchain technology, examples of its successful implementation and ways to use it to develop the Eurasian integration process. They also touched upon the legal regulation of blockchain and cryptocurrencies in the light of national and international practices.

In this line, Denis Aleinikov, Senior Partner at Aleinikov&Partners law firm, told about Belarusian experience of adoption blockchain economy legal regulation - the Presidential Decree “On Digital Economy Development”.


“Belarus has made a revolutionary step towards digital economy,” Tatyana Valovaya underlined referring to the Decree. “In this regard, we need to discuss or probably do something together and share experience with each other,” the EEC minister said.
